Isabelle Hughes is an MFA candidate at Sarah Lawrence College. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, she spent several formative years studying and writing by the sea.
Her short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Milk Candy Review, X-R-A-Y Lit, Blood+Honey, Cherry Tree Literary Journal, and Eunoia Review. Currently, Izzy is at work on a language-forward novel that explores themes of broken family, friendship, girlhood, and womanhood (the good, bad, ugly, and beautiful).
She lives in New York City, just a few blocks from the Hudson River.
